When designing the form, we drew inspiration directly from the environment the Leaflet would live in. The leaf silhouette is unobtrusive and blends seamlessly into its environment.
Plants have an aura about them that is vibrant and inviting. We drew inspiration from the environment house plants live in, often surrounded by soft daylight near a windowsill or warm candlelight. For the Krado Leaflet we felt that energy would be best translated through subtle glow that radiates from within the sensor onto the plant leaves around it.
The Krado Leaflet housing is 100% 3D printed using the latest additive manufacturing practices. Compared to other manufacturing methods like injection molding, 3D printing uses less energy and reduces wasted materials. Additionally, the plastic is fully recyclable and reusable.
The Krado Leaflet app works in harmony with the sensor to help better care for your plants at home. Through the Leaflet app you can log entries on how your plant is doing, complete daily plant care tasks, and gain advice on how to best look after your plants. You can also peruse the marketplace to purchase new plant nutrients and tools helpful to your plants.
We designed the Krado Leaflet packaging to be fully recyclable and sustainable. It is unique and beautifully minimal, leveraging simple manufacturing methods to construct an intuitive design with user friendly instructions.
